The origin of the name Webb is English and the Coat of Arms contains “Red with a cross between four gold falcons.” The Crest is An eagle rising from a crown. The family motto is “Be firm”

First found in Wiltshire where they had been seated anciently from about the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066.

According to rumour our branch of the Webb Family in England was founded by a Dutch sailor called Webber who shortened the name.

Webb born 1903, married Violet Wrigley 1930.  Peter Webb born 1934, married Dorothy Dryden 1957.  Norman Webb born 1944, married Linda Turner 1967.  Steven Webb born 1977, married Carrie Ball 1998.  Conner Webb born 2004.

First found in Somerset where they were one of the many Flemish industrialist families who settled in the west country in the 13th century.
     
Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: Richard Webb who settled in Brigus, Newfoundland, in 1677. William Webb was a fisherman in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland, in 1735. 
In Newfoundland there is a Webb's Bay, Brook, Hill, Knoll, Point and Island.
